Last day of class

Today is the last day of class. I had a good time meeting you guys it was really fun. I learned a lot of new stuff about the computer and got some work on stuff i already new. But this will be my last post i will miss you guys and your comments. ROLL TIDE ROLL!!!!

My Website

So guys, my website is about people and place i want to see. A couple of sports things and a couple of bands and singers but mostly other cites and countries. You guys should check it and let me know if you have been to these places. If you have and you got some suggestions on things to see while im there let me know. If i did have more time i would like to try and make my website look like whit's. It defiantely makes mine look dumb. Check hers out though its amazing.

Chenson Griffins website

So i have to review Chensons website. It looks good from first stand point. He also picked some great NBA players to form his allstar list. There are no red code warnings and all of the buttns work. The only real problem that i see is that chenson does not have a link to his homepage. Other than that it looks good. By the way Nash is my favorite player and boozer is my second favorite player.

I Am SOOOOOO Hungry

Yea, so i just finished critiqing Anna's website and let me say that i am staving. Anna has great pictures on her website that will leave you salivating for more. Everything looks good to me. The Buttons work well amd they also look tasty too. It doesnt look like i saw any proplems with the written code. Other than that it looked good. I am so hungry!!!! Wow good job Anna looked good so far.

Seymour Papert

Seymour Papert is considered to be an expert on ointegrating technology with education. He created the Logo programming language and the first children's toys with biult in computaion in his laboratory. He paticipates in developing opportuinities for childeren to work with technology. He is a professor at the MIT and one of the founders of the MIT media Lab. He also works on the advisory board for MaMaMedia Inc. which was founded by one of his students.

Currently however Mr. Papert is doing rehabilitaion in a Rehab Center in Maine. He was injured in Hanoi, Vietnam when he was stuck by a motorcycle while crossing the street. An update says he is getting better but still needs his rest and is not seeing vistors yet.

iPODs in the classroom

To find out ways to use and i pod in the classroom i just went to the apple website and found the education section. There are many ways to use ipods in the classroom. The site lists a few and also give some links to see how people are using apple technology in the schools.

You can use video ipods to show how science experiments can be done. You can use podcasts and books on tape that are downloadable through iTunes. Some of the videos includes foreign language lessons and and shortr documentaries. They list many ways to use and iPod in the classroom. Check it Out

Spreadsheets in the classroom.

The website i found talks about using spreadsheets in math. You can use spreadsheets to create charts and graphs not to mention other things. Once you enter data into the cell you can create functions to find the sum of the data, the mean, product, and just about any other product. This website has examples and downloads to show how you can also use the spreadsheets. You can also find formulas for areas and other things using spreadsheets. Future of Math

It took me forever to find international blogs. This blog is where students from a school in poland communitcate with a school in england. England Poland Blog.





The other blog i found belonged to a teacher in Guam. She uses it to adress terms and specific students and parents as well. Guam Blog

Ms. Kruels Blog
This teacher uses this blog to post things that her students write. The students write some paragraphs about what they are learning in class and she posts them on the blog. She also uses this blog for many other things. She posts the 4k newsletter has reminders for her students and also has a post that has websites that kids can go to. Just check out the archives page and links to see the many ways she uses her blog.


Honors Blog for 9th Grade

This blog is done by a language arts teacher. She uses it for her 9th grade honors class. It is basically for thoughts, comments, observations, and questions that students may have regarding the discussions and readings in the class. She also uses it for some instuction on homework and other projects. As you can see by clicking the link, The post on the 9th of february (today) concerns a poem the students must write using metaphors. The students must use this a lot because if you look at the post there seems to be a lot of comments and questions from students. I think this blog is a good exapmle of communication to students through blogging.

My blogging experience so far

So after three or four weeks of blogging for the first time i must say that it has caught my interest. I have enjoyed it so far and look forward to it the rest of this semester. I especially enjoy checking other the blogs of other people to see what they have to say. I check mine almost everyday to see if anyone has left any comments of some sort. You basically can say whtever you want on these blogs and people can read it whether it be about you in gerneral or about a certain subject that interests you. I have thouroughly enjoyed it so far. I can see where blogging for school could be helpful in many ways. If i had to have a blog for school i would defiantely use it to inform students of certain subjects that we could be talking about in class or use it to answer questions that some students may have while we are not in the classroom. You can think of many different things to communicate to your class by using blogs. Maybe a schedule of the week or year, list of books that may need to be read, things such as that. The only real problem that i could see with blogging is that all students will not have internet or computer access outside of school and the classroom. I am in college and i dont even have internet access at my home. I love the idea of blogging for class and school. I could definately be usin it in the future.

Funny Joke

ok Guys got a funny joke for ya. There is this old couple that has been married for 60 years, they are very happy, but they are slowly starting to lose thier memory. One day the couple goes to the doctor to see what exactly they can do for thier memory loss. The doctor says there is nothing we can actually do for memory loss, but he suggests thay they should start writing down stuff and maybe they would remember things better. So a few weeks go by and things are working out just fine till one night they are laying in bed and the wife looks at the husband and says i would like some icecream. So the husband jumps out of bed and heads toward the kitchen. The wife suggests he writes it down but the stubborn old man says "I remember you want, icecream." Then the wife says put some chocolate on it and the old man agrees. Once again the wife suggests he write it down but again he doesnt and quotes everything she wants rite back at her. The she asks for some cherries on top and again the old man agrees. Once again the wife suggests he write it down and again he doesnt quoting exactly what she wants. The old man ventures into the kitchen and comes back about fifteen minutes later with a plate of bacon and eggs. The wife gets a very mean look on her face and says "WHERE IS MY TOAST"!!! Ha ha

New Blog

My new blog is now created and this is the firdt blog that i have ever done. Im not real big into myspace so i have never actually done a blog before but hey, how hard could it be huh. Anyways, hey guys and good luck this semester. ROLL TIDE ROLL!!!!!
